Our technology platform - SampleMatrix - is based on the principle of anhydrobiosis or "life without water", a mechanism by which certain extremophiles preserve their body functions for long periods of time (>100 years). By mimicking this natural phenomenon, Biomatrica has created a wide range of applications for stabilizing nucleic acids at room temperature.
